We spent the last few days at a river campsite at Punakha. After a long drive through a few high mountain passes, we finally arrived to our destination at Punakha next to the river. An internet-free camp has made us better appreciate the landscape and allowed us to experience Bhutan without the baggage of being connected to the technology!
Our visit to the convent was amazing—we were able to participate with them in their art classroom, eat lunch in their dinning hall, and join them for their afternoon prayers. This was also a good halfway moment for all of us to pause and reflect on the week that has already gone by.
We have arrived at Thimphu, the national capital, where we spend the next few days before we hit the last leg of this trip.
Stay tuned for more!
