Punakha: Our Riverside Camp

This post features student writing.

My camping experience in Punakha was one of a kind. The group and I tried out many different activities while we were there for just two short nights. We went rafting in the river, we relaxed in the hot stone bath, shot arrows at the target during archery, and so much more! As always, the hospitality of the people who worked there was ever present. Even the local villagers came to the site a few days before our arrival and laid out a “green carpet” of pine needles just as another way of welcoming us. Although our camping experience might’ve been more like “glamping,” it is for sure a time well spent in the outdoors that I will never forget!
